During the past years the improvement in quality of placement in industries was a dream come true for whole young generation of our country. The trend has continued due to revolutionary changes in field of engineering.
After completion of B.E/AMIE/Diploma/ Certificate training the students have lots of job opportunities in many industries or for different competitive exams.
OPPORTUNITIES AT A GLANCE
* For Higher Studies :-
- After completion of AMIE the candidate can go for M.E./M.Tech.,MBA/MS programme by qualifying exams like GATE/CAT/GRE etc. in Indian as well as in foreign universities. Some of reputed Colleges/Universities which offer Post graduation in any Engineering branch are IIT Khadagpur, IIT Chennai, IIT Powai, MIT Madras.
In Govt./Private Sectors :-
- One of biggest public sector Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) well known for design & manufacture of parts of aircrafts requires 100-150 engineers every year for its different centers at Ozar (Nasik), Bangalore, Korapot (Orissa), similarly Airworks India (Mumbai), manufactures parts of Helicopters, recruit 50-100 engineers every year. Apart from this in field of aero modeling & in various automobile industry aeronautical engineers are absorbed.
In Airlines :-
- Many of private or Govt. airlines like Air India, Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, Pawan Hans etc. seeks for young & talented engineers. Also there are nearly 25 private airlines coming up to launch their own operation which is a contributory factor for better job prospects.
For research & Development :-
- The mechanical engineers have very challenging job with handsome salary structure in research & development field. Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO) is well established research centers.
Defense Organization :-
- After completion of AMIE candidate can directly attempt S.S.B. interview for post of Commission Officer in Indian Government either in Short Service Commission or Permanent Service Commission.
Competitive Exams :-
- After completion of AMIE one can appear for UPSC Examinations like IAS/IES/IAE/IAF and State Public Service Commission (SPSC). One can also apply for all posts in Govt. or Private Sector Organizations where necessary qualification like B.E./B.Tech. is required.
